Italian and Japanese Leather

Vegetable Tanned Cow/Goat Leather
Vegetable-tanning is the true "chromium-free" method of leather tanning, it is an old-world, artisanal process that takes advantage from the tannic acids naturally found in some plant species, by using the barks, branches, leaves and even some fruits in some specific techniques.
The process does not involve harsh chemicals and it is not surprising to see natural scars and markings on this type of leather. Vegetable tanning is complex and the skins require multiple treatments over a period of up to two months or more.Vegetable-tanned leather gives the item a natural and organic look. It develops a patina, which makes every product unique and has its own life.

Environment & Sustainability

We aim to produce all products responsibly.
Which is why we use only premium quality materials produced under responsible environmental conditions.
The leather hides used in our products are by-products of the food industry.

Over 7-million tonnes of hides are produced each year as a by-product of the meat industry.

Ultimately, natural leather will biodegrade and will not be stuck in a landfill.
